CNBC has reported that Walgreen’s has announced it will sell CBD creams, patches and sprays in nearly 1,500 stores in select states. They also are reporting that in these states Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vermont, South Carolina, Illinois, and Indiana they will sell the cannabis-based products.
This announcement comes on the heels of CVS announcing it would begin selling hemp-based products in it’s stores. This is big news for the already booming Cannabis Industry, and really big news for states that have finally started allowing the sell of hemp based CBD products like our home state of North Carolina.
CBD-infused health & beauty products are expected to dominate the sales for both Walgreen’s and CVS, as they seem to pose less risk to image concerns and concerns over the brands of their company’s as the nation is still curious, but not quite accepted mainstream. Either way, we see this as a win for the farmers, and as consumers begin to see the positive effects, we see the CBD markets continue to grow upward.
